What impression did you have when you heard about the project for "Touken Ranbu Kai - Kaiden: Chikashi Samurai Raumora-" which will be produced as a completely new original work?
I heard that it would be released in theaters a long time after recording. The story is a prequel to the TV anime, and it involves Heshikiri Hasebe, who I play, so I was very happy that they would dig deeper into it.

What impression did you have of the story when you read the script for "Kaiden"?
In the TV anime "Touken Ranbu Kai - Kyoden: Moyuru Honnoji-", Yamanbagiri Kunihiro's past was depicted as a flashback scene. For me, I was convinced that "he regrets his past" just from that scene and proceeded with the play, but they dug deeper and the thoughts of Yamanbagiri and the thoughts of Hasebe and the others who were beside him were depicted clearly. So I was happy that the resolution of their thoughts was improved. So if you watch "Kyoden" again after watching "Kyoden," I think you'll get a different impression.

What kind of character is Heshikiri Hasebe?
Heshikiri Hasebe is a sword that was treasured by Oda Nobunaga, but was handed over to Kuroda Kanbei, who was not a direct vassal. Hasebe holds it as a scar, and although he was meant to have remained loyal to his master until the end, he feels abandoned when it was passed on to a different owner along the way. This has remained as a grudge against Oda Nobunaga and regret for his own lack of ability. So he is a character who is working hard to grow and be loyal to his current master, the Saniwa, this time to the end.
