The upcoming TV anime adaptation of coly's smartphone game Promise of Wizard (Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku in Japan) has released a new character trailer (below) for the Central Country wizard, Oz, Arthur Cain and Riquet. Its production will air in Japan starting January 2025.
In the new story of "The Wizard's Promise", Akira is a sage from another world and he receives an invitation to another world where humans and wizards live together, to resist further spreading effects in their country by a large moon called "Great Calamity" that appears suddenly. Todays reveal of the Central Country PV, introduces four characters: Atsushi Tamaru will play Arthur, Takashi Kondo will play Oz, Daichi Kanbara will play Cain and Yusuke Nagano will play Rike. You are able to watch all the characters move and hear their voices.
The Wizard's Promise Trailer
The "Promise of Wizard" original TV anime were both happening at Liden Films with Naoyuki Tatsuwa directing and Nanami Higuchi on series composition/scenarios. Character designs as chief animation director are by Nozomi Nagatomo, and the music is being composed by Shuji Katayama (Team-MAX), with Pony Canyon producing.
About the anime
The Promise of Wizard anime's story takes place in a magical fantasy world, where once every few years, the avatar of The Great Calamity—a giant moon that embodies absolute destruction—appears to cast oblique shadow on this beautiful planet. Akira Masaki is an ordinary earthling teenager who has been summoned to a parallel world to be his wise-woman and tutor his mind schools from five nations, taught him how powerful she is.
The Wizard's Promise, an anime adaptation of the popular smartphone game, is set to premiere in January 2025.
